It has been a long time in the coming - from the day we first set foot in
PBS in December 2003, through months of refining, tracking,
re-recording, mixing, mastering...
Working with our sound engineer and learning the art of doing the impossible, and understanding the difference between "music" and "sound"... Being driven relentlessly, and encouraged endlessly, by our producer, being supported and egged on by friends and well-wishers... The joy of holding the final mastered product in our hands - a wonderful record of the music that we created as a "college band", something we knew we had no right to ever expect, and yet was now reality, for us to show people for the rest of our lives... The almost physical pain of desire to get our music out to people, to let them hear our work, to hear their comments, and to know that something we created was being heard by many many people... The sad but inevitable truth that in India, getting publishers for a progressive rock album that is not even straight 4/4 "dance rock", is almost impossible... The wonderful discovery of Lawrence Lessig's Creative Commons efforts, and the Creative Commons license that would allow us to publish our music for free without losing the rights to our own work... The decision to publish our work on the internet, in the hope that people would download it, listen to it, and help us spread it even further... The release of each song, with us chewing our fingernails to see how people would accept it... Hearing our names and our music on the radio, and enjoying unbelievable attention as suddenly everyone seemed to know about us and our music... To the release of our final song from the album "Unbound". We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.
